Windows Explorer folder custimization suggestion

can someone please try to help me talk microsoft into putting this feature in vista. the feature that i want in vista was in Windows 98 and Windows 2000 but was not included in Windows xp. it was the feature that let you choose the background image or color of each folder. it also let you choose the text color in each folder as well. i woiuld really like that in vista. this was one of the nicest features i saw in windows for customizing your pc. i really want it to be put in vista. and if they do add it to vista, they should enhance that feature a bit. they should add the abilty to change the color of the scrollbar.

do you think microsoft will go for it? i think in the beta of vista they should start out the folder custimizations with the way it was in Win98 and Win2000. they should put the original edition in first, just for old times sake. but they include a "seggestions" option in it, so that users can put there ideas in on how microsoft can improve it and what they can add to it. then as times goes on, they give it a "vista look". the folder custimization options should be in the "custimization" tab in the folder properties. there should an option like "folder font color" for changing the font color in the folder. then there should be an option called "folder background", that will letr you change the background of the folder. it will let you pick a background image of your choice for the folder or it will let you pick a backgroud color instead. it should also let you pick if the folder is translucent or not. there should also be an option called "scrollbar options". this option will let you choose the size of the scrollbar. it will also let you choose the color of the scrollbar to and in good detail. they should keep the folder icon option because thats ok i guess. then there will be an option called "apply to all". when you click on it it will let you pick whether you just want to apply those options to that folder, to that folder and its subfolders, all the folders on the pc, or the folders of your choice. once you select the folders you want the custimizations to apply to it will apply them to those folders except for the folder icons and the folder type (ex: music folder, picture folder, video folder, and whatever other types of folders there are.)
you got any ideas to add to this? can you tell everyone you know about my seggestion and ask them to vote for it so maybe microsoft juat may add it to vista.

since i like the folder cusomization options so much i thought it out more and made the description on how i would like it to me a lot more detailed. and yes Luke Fitzwater, i did email the idea to microsoft at wish@microsoft.com. if anyone has any ideas of how this idea can get any better please tell me.
The suggestion I have is for folder customizations in Windows. The folder customizations that I want were in Windows 98 and 2000 but for some reason were not in xp. Well, anyways I would like to see them in xp.
The folder customizations in 98 and 2000 were nice. They were the ones that let you choose the fold background and the font color for each folder. It was nice how that was in the operating system. I really liked the theme I had and it was really easy to apply to each folder. The guided interface for it was nice to. I think the feature should be in vista. It should be included in vista but not in the starter edition. I would love to see that feature.
If it’s going to be a vista feature it should have some upgrades on how its going to look for when you using it and how it is going to work. First of all it should be in the display panel and the “customization” tab of the folder properties for each individual folder.
when
you edit the folder customization options in the control panel, the customizations will be applied to all the folders on the pc but when you open the folder customization options from the folder properties it will just apply to that folder and its subfolders if you would like.
There should be differences in the options the options that will be available for when you option this option from display options and when you open it from the folder properties.
The options for the display panel folder customization should be: (these options will apply to every folder on your PC) ------------------------------------------------------ |these settings will be like a global template for the PC| -you will be able to choose the color and size of the scrollbar. -you can choose the folder background color or image -you can choose the font color (main font color) -you can choose the font color for when a file or folder is compressed or encrypted. -you can pick the color of the font highlight. -since there are global template options in the display panel and the individual folder customization options for the folders, there should be some exception options. --when applying the global template, if it finds any folders that have individual folder customizations, it should ask you if you would like to overwrite them or not. --there should be an exception list for folders that you do not want the global folder customization template to apply to. ---once a folder is in the exception list it will not ask you if you want to overwrite it or not, it will just skip the folder and move onto the next. --the exception list option will open up when you first start using folder customizations.
The folder customization options for when you select to change the folder properties: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |these options should be found on a tab called “folder customizations”| -these options can be applied to the current folder and its sub-folders if you would like. -you can pick the font color of the folder. -you can pick the background color or the background image of a folder. -you can pick the icon for the folder (this option will only be applied to the current folder) (this one feature is already a customization option in vista) -these setting will not effect the global template for the folder customization options.
